Our team was enrolled in a rigorous European History class. The teacher in this class insisted on giving us multiple quizzes per week. We knew that most of the information that was provided by the textbook was useless, but we either had to hand-write notes of the chapter or read the entire chapter and attempt to remember everything from it.
With this situation in mind, our team created Summit. Summit is a note-taking mobile application in which users take pictures of printed texts and Summit identifies the most relevant information in the printed text. Our target user would be any student studying any subject because students definitely do not have the time to take notes and cram an entire chapter of information is simply too time consuming.
We are most proud of our algorithm that identifies the key terms and main ideas of the printed text all in a matter of a few seconds.
