Inspiration

Learning poker mathematics—probability, pot odds, and combinatorics—is often a dry, tedious process dominated by static charts and dense spreadsheets. I wanted to build something that makes mastering preflop and flop strategy intuitive, engaging, and visually striking for low-stakes players

What it does

Suited Up is an iOS poker training app that actively tests your decision-making through spot generation and action validation. It features interactive preflop charts and gameplay verdicts.

How I built it

The frontend was built using TypeScript and React Native/Expo to ensure a fast, fluid iOS experience. The backend was built in python with over 20,000+ presolved spots for user to practice on.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Successfully getting the core features complete and pushing the app through the App Store review process. I'm especially proud of the visual consistency we achieved

! Core Features Complete ! I'm excited to share that the core gameplay loop for Suited Up is officially done. The main engine is up and running, meaning the foundational features are fully integrated. With the core mechanics locked in, my focus is shifting entirely to the onboarding flow. I want to make sure the initial user experience is as smooth and intuitive as possible so players can quickly grasp the mechanics and jump right into improving their game.
