Inspiration
I built Sui Sentinel to improve DeFi security by combining AI with blockchain. Instead of only detecting attacks, I wanted a system that could monitor transactions, identify risks, and respond automatically.
What it does
Sui Sentinel is an AI-powered DeFi risk and compliance platform on Sui. It monitors on-chain activity, calculates risk scores, and uses Move smart contracts and PTBs to trigger automated security actions. AI reports are stored on Walrus for transparency and verification.
How we built it
I used Next.js for the frontend, Node.js/TypeScript for the backend, and Move for the smart contracts. The backend analyzes transactions with AI, interacts with the Sui blockchain, and powers a real-time dashboard.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge was connecting AI, the backend, and Move smart contracts while keeping the system fast and reliable. I also had to design an efficient way to store and verify AI-generated reports.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Built and deployed Move smart contracts on Sui Testnet.
- Implemented Programmable Transaction Blocks (PTBs) for automated responses.
- Integrated Walrus for decentralized storage of AI-generated reports.
- Developed a real-time dashboard for monitoring risks and protocol health.
- Registered the project on DeepSurge as a Sui ecosystem project. ## What we learned This project helped me better understand Move, PTBs, Walrus, and how AI can be combined with blockchain to build secure and autonomous DeFi applications. ## What's next for Sui-sentinel The next step is to add zkLogin for seamless user onboarding, improve the AI risk engine with predictive threat detection, support more DeFi protocols, and evolve Sui Sentinel into a complete autonomous security platform for the Sui ecosystem.
