Inspiration

We were inspired by Finsiteful and Chat GPT, and we wanted to find a way to merge the two together.

What it does

We built a financial advice tool that uses AI to help students or business find alternative options for vendors.

How we built it

We used node for the backend and react for the front end to build this simple prototype.

Challenges we ran into

We would say that the hardest part was finding a good way for the users to input their own data and have the AI model parse their CSV for expenses that might need to be replaced. However, we found a solution eventually, and the project came together nicely!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are most proud that we had fun as a team and came up with a tool we would be interested in using for ourselves.

What we learned

We learned that Rome was not built in a day. A team cannot code the perfect UI or backend in a day. We had to just focus on the big picture and do the best we could to connect to the AI API and make a great front end visualization too.

What's next for Suggesti

We might keep working on the CSV parsing tool, because it is not perfect!
