We were inspired by the vibrant energy of K-pop, the colorful visuals, and the emotional connection fans have with music and storytelling. Our goal was to create a song that blends catchy melodies with a dreamy, whimsical vibe that resonates with listeners.

What it does

“Sugar Dreams” is a K-pop-inspired track designed to uplift and engage listeners. The song features infectious hooks, dynamic verses, and a chorus that leaves a lasting impression. Accompanying visuals and automated motion-capture animations add an interactive, danceable dimension to the experience.

How we built it

We created the character visuals using Gemini Nanobanana, which generated the illustrations of our anime-style idol. For choreography and dynamic motion, we used Komiko AI’s effects tool, which automatically applied motion capture dances and actions to the character—no additional prompts were needed. By combining these tools, we were able to quickly produce a full-body animated performer synchronized with the song.

Challenges we ran into

One challenge was ensuring the automated motion capture aligned naturally with the song’s rhythm and energy. Another was fine-tuning visual details to preserve the cute, whimsical aesthetic while maintaining fluid animations.
