Inspiration

Are you an immigrant looking to move out of your home country? Are you someone who wants to be aware of today’s environmental status? Are you someone who is looking to save money? Even though it is not done to perfection, I have solved these main problems. Here is Sufin, short for sustainability and financials. This is a UI-built app with minimalistic design used to bring awareness to all of the issues I mentioned, earlier. You may be trying to find a cheaper place to live. You might find which area has the cleanest air. Or perhaps even try to save thousands of dollars on the cost of living. Sufin has done it all. At just a click, you wouldn’t need to go through the Google search and look through every article when these have been handpicked for you! Sufin is built for everybody.

What it does

You would be updated on the different issues on finances and environments, more relating to those who want to move out and find a new place to live. You can click on the different icons on the bottom to switch between screens. Ideally, you would be able to filter out between countries, cities, the lowest and the highest of a characteristic, sign up, login, etc. However, this is only a UI Design, with no code components.

How I built it

I created this design by using my previous knowledge of UI/UX Design and prototyping skills in Figma. It has been a while since I used these skills, so I had to refresh my memory!

Challenges we ran into

I originally was not going to develop a project due to the fact that I do not have strong back-end development skills. However, Technica has changed my perspective on that. Regardless of your background, we all can build something!

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am proud I was able to go out of my comfort zone, attend this hackathon, and even build a small project.

What I learned

Computer science has many different aspects from the technical, design, security, business, etc. there is always room for everyone!

What's next for Sufin

I would love to try prototyping and coding the other features I mentioned earlier to do what it should do. I hope this UI-Design and its background could spark an idea to a business or even inspire another student. No boundaries should stop you from coding, designing, and/or developing.
