Inspiration

I am subscribed to a lot of streaming apps that renew at different times. As a college student, I sometimes can not afford for them to renew. It's hard to remember which one renews when and how much it costs. That's why I built Subscription Track to keep track of all of my subscriptions so I know if I need to cancel it or not.

What it does

Subscription Track keeps track of how much each subscription costs, when the subscription renews, and takes you straight to the unsubscribe website if needed.

How I built it

I built Subscription Track using OutSystems and ServiceStudio

Challenges I ran into

This was my first time ever building an app or anything like this so I was unfamiliar with the platform. I did some research on the program and figured out the basics. Another challenge was the time limit. I was limited to how much I could learn about ServiceStudio and make a product in the short period of time.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I'm proud that I learned the basics of a new platform in a day and that I built my first app. I am also proud that I participated in RamHacks this year because I usually think I'm not advanced enough.

What I learned

I learned how to build an app and how to use OutSystems and Service Studio. I also learned that you can build an app for any technological issue you have. Finally, I learned that I am more capable than I give myself credit for.

What's next for Subscription Track

I am hoping that I can figure out how to send push notifications when a date is coming up so that the app alerts users when their subscription is about to renew. I plan on using this app and maybe trying to get it in the app store.
