Inspiration

Limitations of other subscription-based platforms inspired us to build something that everyone can use. We were devastated by constraints of well-known content-sharing services, payments took a week to be paid, and exchange costs were relatively high. Not only that, censorship of content in those platforms based on political views and unfair guidelines and policies had escalated beyond control and were damaging to the liberty of users. Mitigating the aforementioned problems was the inspiration and primary goal of our project.

What it does

Subscriptify opens the door for everybody who has content to share, but isn't able to use current platforms, or anyone who is interested in absorbing more than what social media has to offer, but was limited by payment methods provided by usual choices of platforms. By leveraging the advantages of blockchain and cryptocurrency, anyone is now able to say what they want to say or show what has to be shown. Subscriptify also provides users with the convenience of accessing content anytime and from anywhere.

How we built it

We used Python and django for backend, obviously solidity, OpenZeppelin, and chainlink for our smart contract. We're also planning to use quicknode for the deployment of our smart contract. Next.js was also used for front-end.

Challenges we ran into

Lack of documentation wasted hours of time and forced us to make our project more minimal.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have built this project in such short time. We are happy to help people and businesses grow by eliminating obstacles in their way.

What we learned

Team work.

What's next for Subscriptify

Adding more features and increasing security and privacy of content and users is next step for this project.
