Inspiration
Mental health is something that impacts everyone, especially as stress is abundant among college students, and we wanted to see how mental health affects people's perceptions of their overall health.
What it does
We created several visualizations to see how the perception of mental health differs across the United States and how it has changed over the last 8 years. Additionally, we predicted how many mentally unhealthy days people experienced on average based on other survey questions relating to their socioeconomic status and physical health. This helped us further bridge the gap between perceptions of physical and mental health, as well as see what external factors play a part in impacting one's psyche.
How I built it
We built a linear regression model using sklearn, and made several visualizations and a heat map using seaborn, Matplotlib, and pandas, as well as performing hypothesis tests through numpy and pandas.
