Inspiration

My car has a solar battery back up to charge the main traction battery. This has an issue that if it isn't checked regularly, the lead acid backup batteries can be over discharged which will damage them. This project hopes to remove the requirement to periodically check the voltage.

What it does

Allows the solar system to be monitored remotely to avoid over discharging the lead acid battery

How we built it

A voltage divider is connected across the battery pack of the solar system to reduce the battery voltage to the correct level for the CC1310 ADC. This is then connected to the micro which will send packets if it's too low lighting the red LED on the receiver micro to indicate that the inverter needs to be turned off or checked

Challenges we ran into

Ti's documentation

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Nothing

What we learned

Ti has really bad documentation that looks really good at a glance
