## Inspiration

People love to be early adopters, and people love to Larp about it afterwards, and people love to gamble, we've tried to put all 3 together, in a way where AI, rather than producing musical slop, will actually put you onto the artists with the best progress slope of the week/month for you to find out about underground artists that have potential/kick start careers (at scale).

Moreover, as all tokens buyable on our app are created by us, if you're an artists and need funds, you could contact us and we could get you your own pump.fun crypto token on our app (so that you can either rug-pull your fans or fund you career, life is all about decisions after all 🤷‍♂️.

## What It Does

Sua is a mobile app where users invest real SOL in underground artists via pump.fun bonding curves. Each artist has a token whose demand is
driven by real Spotify data, monthly listeners, growth trends, and AI-powered scouting reports.

Core features:

  • Real-time artist data scraped from Spotify's internal API, monthly listeners, growth percentages, historical trends
  • AI Scout powered by Claude, a conversational music discovery assistant that learns your taste through a feedback loop (thumbs up/down) and recommends artists you'll actually like (or can surprise you with something new on demand)
  • Phantom wallet integration, native iOS deep linking for connecting wallets and executing trades
  • Growth charts, : so you can see the slope before you invest

## How We Built It

Backend: NestJS + Prisma + PostgreSQL (Supabase), deployed on Railway. 7 modules, 17+ endpoints, real-time Spotify data scraping via their partner API (anonymous token from embed pages → GraphQL queries for monthly listener counts).

Frontend: Vanilla TypeScript + Vite + CapacitorJS for native iOS. Liquid glass UI inspired by Revolut , backdrop-filter blur surfaces, hot pink accent, staggered entrance animations. No React, no framework overhead.

AI: Claude API (claude-sonnet-4-20250514) with structured prompts that include real artist metrics, user taste profiles, and
recommendation deduplication. The scout never recommends the same artist twice and learns from every thumbs up/down vote.

Auth: Apple + Google Sign-In via Supabase OAuth, Phantom wallet connection via iOS deep links (sua:// URL scheme).

## Challenges

  • Spotify killed their popularity API in February 2026. We had to reverse-engineer their internal partner API, extracting anonymous
    tokens from embed pages and finding the current GraphQL query hash from their web player JavaScript bundle.

  • Prisma 7 breaking changes derailed our initial setup. We stayed on Prisma 6 to keep moving.

  • Phantom deep links on iOS, the URL constructor in WebKit doesn't parse custom schemes (sua://) correctly. We had to write manual
    query string parsing.

  • Railway deployment , NestJS was binding to localhost instead of 0.0.0.0, causing silent 502s with no error output. The Prisma
    migration warnings were flooding stdout and hiding the actual crash.

## What's Next

  • Create pump.fun tokens for all 50 artists and go live

  • TikTok launch : "I put $10 on this underground artist, here's my return" (make or break tbh I feel like this has viral potential but you never know until you actually start posting about it)

  • Embedded wallets for mainstream users (no Phantom required)

  • Fiat on-ramp via MoonPay/Transak

  • Real-time cron scraping every 12 hours for live trend data (CRON job)
