Inspiration

StyleZen was born from a shared vision between designers and tech innovators to merge creativity with cutting-edge AI. Influenced by breakthroughs like Google’s generative AI try-on, we set out to build a platform that empowers anyone to design, visualize, and order custom fashion.

What it does

  1. Empowers users to design custom clothing across all categories (men, women, kids, babies).
  2. Offers 3D–5D virtual try-on using your own image, letting you preview how designs fit, drape, and move.
  3. Features AI-driven style suggestions via chatbot and voice assistant.
  4. Connects users with a marketplace of designers, tailors, and manufacturers for seamless order fulfillment.

How we built it

  1. Front-end: React Native + React for seamless mobile/web experience.
  2. Try-on Engine: WebGL/Unity with advanced cloth physics and generative AI.
  3. AI Chat & Voice: LLMs backed by RAG, integrated via APIs like Deepgram and ElevenLabs.
  4. Back-end: Python/Node.js microservices for measurement algorithms, CAD exports, and order workflows. 5.Marketplace: Real-time linking of designers/tailors with confidence via secure profile verification and portfolios.

Challenges we ran into

  1. Realism vs. Performance: Achieving accurate cloth simulation and avatars without device lag—common in virtual try-on tech.
  2. Scalability & Device Compatibility: Ensuring smooth experience across web, low-end phones, and high-res devices.
  3. Inventory 3D Modeling: Investing time and resources to build 3D assets for every fabric and cut.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  1. Crafted a full AI + voice stylist agent that guides users through design, fit, and color decisions.
  2. Built seamless CAD-to-manufacturer workflow, enabling direct orders to tailors—reducing errors and speeding deliveries.
  3. Achieved virtual try-on accuracy rivalling top brands: like Levi’s saw increased conversions & reduced returns.
  4. Established a trusted community network of verified designers and manufacturers, streamlining collaboration.

What we learned

  1. Realism is key: Users expect highly accurate virtual fitting—pixel-perfect avatars matter.
  2. Privacy builds trust: Transparent data policies and local processing significantly boost adoption
  3. Flexible tech stack is crucial: Supporting various devices and networks requires modular front-end and serverless AI.
  4. Community drives growth: Onboarding designers and manufacturers early ensures richer customization options and faster scaling.

What's next for StyleZen

  1. Expand virtual try-on to layered outfits (e.g., shirt + jacket + scarf).
  2. Launch virtual flagship store in Web3/VR where users can interact with avatars in immersive showrooms.
  3. Introduce trend forecasting and generative design for seasonal capsule collections.
  4. Work on lightweight AR modes for devices with limited power or bandwidth.

StyleZen continues to evolve, bridging design, AI, and manufacturing into a powerful ecosystem—for creators, producers, and fashion lovers transforming sketches into style.
