Inspiration

As someone who has struggled with filler words, being nervous while giving a speech, and also observing others get nervous while presenting, i found this a perfect opportunity to help myself and everyone else.

What it does

StutterLess is a speech-practice app designed to help people who stutter speak more confidently. Users can practice speaking in a low-pressure environment and get support that helps reduce hesitation and build fluency over time.

How I built it

I built StutterLess using a simple, user-friendly interface focused on speech practice. The app leverages AI-based logic to guide users through exercises that encourage smoother speech while keeping the experience calm and non-judgmental.

Challenges I ran into

Designing an app around a sensitive issue like stuttering was challenging. I had to make sure the app felt supportive, not intimidating. Technical limitations and time constraints during the hackathon also pushed me to prioritize core features.

Accomplishments that Iam proud of

I successfully built a functional prototype (MVP) within a limited time frame. I proud that StutterLess addresses a real-world problem and creates a safe space for users to practice speaking without pressure or embarrassment.

What I learned

I learned how important user empathy is when building assistive technology. I also gained experience in rapid prototyping, feature prioritization, and turning an idea into a working product under time pressure.

What's next for StutterLess

Next, I plan to improve speech analysis, add personalized practice sessions, and introduce progress tracking. My goal is to make StutterLess more adaptive and helpful for users at different stages of their speech journey.

-Another major thing to improve is the transcribing problem, The AI doesnt transcribe very well, and there are several misunderstandings.
