StudyTool

To create a study tool that allows students to pre study before lectures. Pre studying has been proven to improve engagement and retention during lectures.

Users upload a pdf to the website, and the website creates summaries of that pdf. There's also a calendar where you can create events. These events would be pre study events that contain the summaries. Also create flashcards

The backend was built using flask and the front end was React.

We had problems creating the database for the calendar and hosting the website.

We are planning to contribute more on this and make it fully functional also we are planning to add more AI technologies to help make tasks more efficient.

I worked on backend part using Flask where I made API endpoints to communicate with frontend and also managed database to store different kind of calendar events. Though it was my first time, very nervous, made many mistakes but still it encouraged me to learn more things and handle pressure situations.

I focused on the front-end using CSS to design a clean and easy-to-use look, and I learned how to make a website that works well on all devices even though it was challenging, it was a fun learning experience.

I worked on the front end of the project, which was made using the React framework, and the main code was written using JavaScript. CSS3 is used for styling. Overall, it was a fun yet tough challenge to connect the React front ends to the Flask back end. Working on it taught me a lot about API endpoints and different hooks in React, as well as the challenge of connecting the whole project to the database.
