Inspiration
The idea for StudySprint wasn’t born in a classroom or a coding session — it was born in a moment of quiet desperation. Just days before my final exam, I was completely overwhelmed. My syllabus was long, my motivation was buried under anxiety, and time was slipping away. I wasn’t lazy — I was lost. I remember staring at the screen, whispering, “I just need a plan… someone to guide me.” But no one came. That night, I made a silent promise to myself: “If I survive this… I’ll build something that makes sure no other student has to go through this alone.” And that’s how StudySprint was born — not from ambition, but from empathy. A personal pain turned into a public purpose. It’s more than a tool. It’s what I needed when I was struggling. Now, it's here for anyone who’s ever felt the same.
What it does
StudySprint is an AI-powered study companion, designed for the students who need it most — especially during last-minute prep and high-stress exam weeks. The app helps you go from chaos to clarity in just minutes.

It’s the study coach, the planner, the focus tool — all rolled into one calm, caring experience.
How we built it
We combined empathy with engineering:
Frontend: React.js (deployed via Vercel for lightning-fast load and mobile-first UX)
Backend (coming soon): Planned FastAPI integration for AI-powered features like topic parsing and smart scheduling
AI: OpenAI for generating summaries, plans, and questions (local simulation in current version)
Design: Clean, minimal UI to reduce overwhelm — because clarity is power during exam stress
Every line of code was written with the question: “What would’ve helped me when I felt like I couldn’t do it?
Challenges we ran into
Building for students under pressure means everything must be intuitive — no learning curve, no clutter.
Designing a “calm” interface while including timers, plans, and analytics was a delicate balance.
We had to simulate some AI backend functions locally to make sure the MVP stayed functional during the hackathon timeframe.
But we focused on what mattered most: giving students hope, structure, and support when they need it the most.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We launched a fully functional version during the hackathon: https://study-sprint-bolt-hackathon.vercel.app
Turned a personal pain point into a tool that can help millions of students around the world.
Designed a solution that is fast, beautiful, and emotionally resonant — not just technical.
Stayed true to our vision: this wasn’t about impressing judges — it was about making someone’s study night easier.
What we learned
Technology is powerful, but only when paired with deep human insight.
Empathy is a superpower in product design — when you build for real pain, your solution becomes real, too.
Hackathons aren’t just about building fast — they’re about building with heart.
