Inspiration
Studying often means switching between scattered notes, textbooks and practice questions. We wanted a workspace that made it easier to organize material and see what needed another review.
What it does
StudySpring brings course organization, saved notes or text-based PDFs, flashcards, practice quizzes and topic-level progress into one dashboard. Daily study planning connects saved material with practice and review.
How we built it
We built the project collaboratively with AI assistance, using Python, Streamlit and SQLite. I was the primary builder within the team. The repository credits Mars Sun, Kenneth Wu and Bernard Kim.
Challenges we ran into
The project needed to keep study material and progress connected without losing saved course data. Processing large materials also required attention to memory limits and the durability of stored data.
Accomplishments we're proud of
The project brings organization, practice and feedback into a connected study workflow, with persistent course records and a public development repository.
What I learned
A useful study tool needs to help someone decide what to work on next. Organizing information is only part of the job; practice and feedback need to connect with it.
What's next
Improve the practice experience, expand study-material handling and test the workflow with more course content. Explore AI-generated practice questions as a future extension.
