Inspiration

Studying is a really boring task that is easily procrastinated. But this is only when you don't have the right tools or get rewarded for the tasks you complete. StudySpace is inspired by this, and we strive to create a good environment for students to enjoy studying.

What it does

StudySpace has been aiming at a lot of features that include live rooms to host study sessions where people of similar interests can come together and start studying. Our idea is to create an all-in-one productivity machine for students, which integrated note-taking features, reminders, study session trackers, etc.

How we built it

The application was built over Next Js which is a library for React. For the backend, we have used MongoDB, Node JS, and Express js.

Challenges we ran into

The only challenge we ran into was the real-time video call session using hop which was the service that was told to use, its documentation was unclear and we had a hard time using it.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to design a very good-looking UI and were able to code it out on the front end. We were also able to finish up the basic backend, which includes authentication, friends, etc.
