Inspiration

Whenever I use to study for my uni exams there are just tons and tons of pdf books I refer too I needed something to summarize those PDFs and generate some short question that will help understand the project

What it does

StudySmartBuddy parses the pdf through AI generates a really nice TLDR and through that flashcards!

How we built it

I have use nextjs at frontend and express for backend and MongoDB for my DB

Challenges we ran into

To find a reliable and free AI model and to integrate it with the project. First I used openai's model but since its not free I used Open Router one it has free tier

What's next for StudySmartBuddy

Add user authentication based history collection. Fine tuning AI model to generate accurate and meaningful responses Add more study related tools such as pomodoro study timer focus learning.
