Inspiration
Many students struggle with poor time management, exam stress, and lack of structured study plans. Existing tools are either too complex or focus on only one feature. We were inspired to build StudySmart to provide a simple, intelligent, all-in-one solution that helps students study smarter, not harder.
What it does
Generates smart study schedules based on subjects and deadlines
Provides a central dashboard for tasks and study sessions
Includes a focus timer (Pomodoro) to improve concentration
Tracks study progress and analytics visually
Manages study resources in one place
Offers personalized experience (light/dark mode, preferences
How we built it
StudySmart was built as a frontend-focused web application using modern web technologies. The interface was designed to be clean, student-friendly, and responsive. Logic for planning, timers, and analytics is handled on the client side to demonstrate the core concept efficiently.
Tech Stack:
HTML
CSS
JavaScript
GitHub Pages (Deployment)
Challenges we ran into
Designing a clean dashboard without overwhelming students
Simulating AI-based scheduling logic in a frontend-only environment
Maintaining performance while handling multiple components
Time constraints during the hackathon
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Fully functional end-to-end prototype
Clean and intuitive UI suitable for real students
Multiple features combined into one platform
Successfully deployed and accessible online
What we learned
We learned how to design user-centric interfaces, structure a multi-feature web app, and translate real student problems into practical digital solutions. We also gained experience in rapid prototyping under time pressure.
