Inspiration:
Students often have access to plenty of study material, but the real challenge is knowing what to study, what they have not understood, and how to revise effectively before an exam. We wanted to create a solution that makes exam preparation more personalized instead of treating every student the same.
This idea led to StudyShield – AI Exam Rescue, an AI-powered study assistant designed to turn existing learning materials into an interactive and personalized study experience.
What It Does:
StudyShield is designed to help students move through a complete learning cycle:
"Study → Practice → Identify Weaknesses → Revise → Retest"
The system allows students to provide their lecture or study material and uses AI to generate relevant practice questions and quizzes. It can then analyze performance to identify topics that need additional attention and provide a more focused revision experience.

How We Plan to Build It:
The project uses a lightweight web-based architecture so that students can interact with the system easily. The application will use Python for the core logic, AI capabilities for content analysis and question generation, and a simple web interface for uploading materials, taking quizzes, and viewing performance.
The system is designed around a feedback loop: instead of simply generating questions, it uses the student's performance to determine which concepts should receive more attention.
Challenges:
One of the main challenges is generating useful questions from different types of study material while keeping them relevant to the original content. Another challenge is distinguishing between topics a student genuinely understands and topics where the student may be guessing.
We aim to address these challenges by combining AI-generated assessments with performance analysis and repeated practice.
What We Learned:
Building StudyShield provides an opportunity to explore how AI can be used beyond simple question-and-answer interactions. The project focuses on using AI as part of an adaptive learning workflow, where the system responds to a student's performance and helps guide the next stage of preparation.
