Problem: When assignments pile up, sorting only by due date hides which same-day task matters more, and sorting by gut feeling lets near deadlines slip.
Solution: StudyRank reads a local JSON task list and ranks every item with a fixed score: score = importance - 10 * days_left. A due date one day sooner is worth 10 points, so earlier deadlines always come first. Importance is an integer from 1 to 5 and is worth 1 point, so it only breaks same-day ties. Estimated minutes are shown but do not change the rank.
Features: It prints the ranked plan and writes a text file, an HTML page, and a PNG drawn from that run. The sample list has eight generic university tasks and no personal data.
Technologies: Python standard library and Pillow. No web framework, no database, no network, no paid API.
Users: University students planning their own study queue.
