Inspiration
As a student, I always wished studying was more fun. Many high schoolers lose motivation because learning feels boring and disconnected. I wanted to build something cool that actually helps — something I would’ve used as a teen.
What it does
StudyQuest is a gamified, multi-language learning platform for high schoolers. It includes:
- 🎮 Fun quizzes based on selected countries
- 🧠 Personalized challenges to keep learners engaged
- 🌍 Language switcher (English, Hindi, Spanish, etc.)
- 😂 Meme wall for relatable study humor
- 👤 Login, Google Auth, profile, and score tracking
- 🎮 Cool game-style UI with background animations
- 📚 Subject-wise quiz categories
How I built it
I built this using:
- HTML/CSS/JS for frontend
- Firebase for Auth (Google login, user tracking)
- Country data + meme API for localized content
- Vanilla JS + JSON quiz logic for simplicity
- Netlify for deployment
Challenges I ran into
- Adding dynamic language switching without breaking layout
- Handling login and data storage with Firebase
- Ensuring quizzes adapt to selected country/language
- Designing a fun UI that works on both desktop and mobile
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
- Fully working login/signup system
- Memes based on selected region
- Clean quiz logic with real-time scoring
- Fun experience kids/teens actually enjoy
What I learned
- Firebase integration
- How to make localized apps
- Dynamic quiz generation
- Real design thinking for gamified education
What's next
- Add more countries and subjects
- Daily streak + leaderboard
- AI-generated study plans
- Mobile app version!
