Project Summary
StudyPlus is a learning platform designed to enhance productivity and effectiveness in learning. The platform offers a range of features to support students and teachers, including a centralized system for sharing learning materials, CBT practice tests and performance monitoring, and a comment and question section. StudyPlus is designed to provide personalized learning resources, empowering students to succeed on CBT exams by providing easy access to video tutorials and other materials. Teachers can use the platform to share materials with students and provide feedback to help them improve their performance.
The Problem it solves:
Despite the growing trend of computer-based testing (CBT), many students face significant challenges in preparing for and taking these exams. Students who lack experience with computers may struggle to navigate CBT interfaces, leading to anxiety and decreased performance on exams. Furthermore, learning is often restricted to the classroom and personal studies with textbooks, some students find it hard to comprehend and will benefit more from personalised learning, through video resources that they can always revisit.
How does this project fit into the focus of the hackathon?
By providing a centralized and comprehensive solution for CBT preparation, StudyPlus enhances the productivity and effectiveness of both students and teachers. Through personalized learning resources, students can enhance their creativity in their approach to understanding complex concepts.
How it works
StudyPlus uses a role-based system to allow the school admin, teacher and student to use the platform.
The Admin creates classes and assigns teachers to teach subjects in each class; the teachers get an email with login details to the platform, they can then log-in and begin to add learning contents which are made available to students who subscribe to StudyPlus.
Students need to subscribe to access resources on StudyPlus. Each Subscription is for a 3 month (90 day) access.
How we built it
I built StudyPlus using PHP Framework, Laravel, and Javascript's JQuery.
What's next for StudyPlus
For ease, StudyPlus will be coupled with a Mobile Application. Other features will be added such as assignments and class works, and topic discussion forums.
