StudyPilot
Inspiration
University students often struggle to keep track of subjects, exams, study tasks, and personal academic goals using multiple applications. We wanted to create a simple and modern platform that combines everything students need in one place, making studying more organized and less stressful.
What it does
StudyPilot is a student productivity application that helps users:
- Manage academic subjects.
- Organize exam schedules.
- Create and manage study tasks.
- Set academic goals.
- Monitor their learning progress through an intuitive dashboard.
The application provides a clean and user-friendly interface designed to improve productivity and time management.
How we built it
The project was built using Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and shadcn/ui for the frontend.
For deployment, we used Vercel, while GitHub was used for version control and collaboration.
As part of the AWS challenge, we used Amazon DynamoDB as the cloud database because it provides a scalable and fully managed NoSQL solution suitable for handling application data.
Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges was integrating the frontend with cloud services while maintaining a clean and responsive user experience. We also focused on organizing the application's structure, improving usability, and preparing the project for cloud-based data management using AWS.
What we learned
Throughout this project, we gained practical experience with modern web development using Next.js and React, cloud deployment with Vercel, source control using GitHub, and working with AWS services such as Amazon DynamoDB.
What's next for StudyPilot
Future improvements include AI-powered study recommendations, smart reminders, personalized study plans, real-time synchronization across devices, and deeper integration with AWS cloud services to provide a richer and more scalable learning experience.
