Inspiration
As a student we always struggled to manage study schedules, prepare for exams, organize notes, and track academic progress. We wanted to create a platform that makes learning more organized, collaborative, and personalized.
What it does
StudyPilot AI is a student learning platform that helps users plan study sessions, generate quizzes from notes, and track academic progress. Students can connect with friends to share notes and PDFs, while teachers and mentors can review progress and provide personalized feedback.
How we built it
We built the frontend using React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Vite. We designed a clean, responsive interface with dedicated dashboards for students, teachers, and mentors. The application includes study planning, quiz generation, progress tracking, and collaboration workflows. The current prototype uses local demo functionality, with a foundation for future AI and backend integration.
Challenges we ran into
Our main challenges were designing a simple interface for different user roles, planning secure document sharing, and creating a unified experience for study planning, collaboration, and progress reviews. We also had to prioritize essential features within the hackathon timeline.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We created a practical learning platform concept that brings study planning, quizzes, progress tracking, peer collaboration, and mentorship together in one place. We are proud of its clean design and its potential to support more effective learning.
What we learned
We learned how to structure a React application, design reusable components, manage application state, use GitHub for version control, and deploy a web application using Vercel. We also learned the importance of building a functional MVP and designing with user needs in mind.
What's next for StudyPilot-AI
We plan to integrate a real AI model, secure authentication, cloud-based storage, live student collaboration, and persistent teacher and mentor feedback. We also aim to explore an Amazon Alexa+ or MCP-based assistant to make study planning more conversational and accessible.
