Inspiration

Students often face high levels of stress and poor time management when multiple exams approach simultaneously. It is challenging to know which subjects require immediate focus based on deadlines and difficulty.

What it does

StudyPace is a lightweight desktop application that allows students to input their subjects, assign difficulty levels, and track exam dates. It automatically calculates remaining days and dynamically generates a sorted, prioritized revision plan.

How I built it

• Python 3 for the core logic and date calculations.
• Tkinter & ttk for a clean, responsive desktop user interface.
• JSON for local data persistence so student data is saved safely.

Challenges I ran into

Designing a clean layout with Tkinter and handling correct date parsing and sorting logic while ensuring a smooth user experience.

What I learned

I improved my Python desktop development skills and learned how to build an intuitive productivity tool tailored to real student needs.
