Inspiration

Students often have homework, assignments, tests, and deadlines to manage at the same time. Important tasks can easily be forgotten when school work is kept in different notebooks, messages, or apps.

I wanted to create a simple tool that helps students keep their school work organized in one place. This inspired me to build StudyNest – Student Study Hub.

What it does

StudyNest is a simple web application that helps students organize and track their school work.

Students can add homework, assignments, tests, and other tasks with due dates and priorities. They can search and filter tasks, mark completed work, and see their upcoming tasks and overall progress.

The goal is to make school planning simpler and help students stay organized and on track.

How we built it

I built StudyNest as a beginner-friendly web application using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

HTML was used to create the structure, CSS was used for the design and layout, and JavaScript was used to make the task management features interactive.

I also used AI tools to help brainstorm the project idea, write and improve code, debug problems, and understand how different parts of the application work.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was turning the idea into a working website and understanding how the different parts of the application connect.

I also had to work through challenges involving task management, search and filtering, completing tasks, and making the interface simple and easy for students to use.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that StudyNest became a working student-focused web application rather than just an idea.

The project provides a simple dashboard where students can manage their school tasks and see what needs to be done. As a beginner, completing a working project helped me become more confident in building with technology.

What we learned

Building StudyNest helped me learn more about HTML, CSS, JavaScript, user interface design, data organization, and debugging.

I also learned how AI tools can support the development process by helping with ideas, coding, debugging, and learning, while still requiring me to understand and review the final project.

What's next for StudyNest – Student Study Hub

In the future, StudyNest could include student accounts, reminders and notifications, calendar integration, study timers, personalized study plans, and teacher or classroom features.

The long-term goal is to make StudyNest a useful everyday study companion that helps students manage school life more easily.## Inspiration
