Inspiration

Students often struggle to understand learning materials and identify which topics they need to practise. StudyMate AI aims to make learning more interactive and personalized.

What it does

StudyMate AI is designed to help students understand study materials, ask questions, practise with quizzes, and receive explanations suited to their learning needs.

How we plan to build it

StudyMate AI is a working prototype built with Python and Streamlit. It lets students enter study notes, review relevant statements, practise quizzes, check their answers, and download quiz reviews. The current prototype uses rule-based text extraction and quiz generation rather than a connected generative AI model.

Challenges

The main challenges are keeping answers grounded in the supplied material, avoiding incorrect explanations, and making the prototype useful within the hackathon timeframe.
