Students often struggle to understand lengthy notes, prepare for exams quickly, and clear doubts while studying. We wanted to create a smart AI-powered study assistant that makes learning faster, easier, and more interactive using the Gemini API.

What it does

StudyMate AI allows students to upload study materials or PDF notes and interact with them intelligently. The platform can:

  • Generate summaries from long notes
  • Answer questions from uploaded content
  • Create quizzes and MCQs automatically
  • Help students revise efficiently

How we built it

We built StudyMate AI using:

  • Python
  • Streamlit for the frontend
  • Gemini API for AI-powered responses
  • PyPDF2 for extracting text from PDFs

The Gemini model processes the uploaded study material and generates intelligent responses, summaries, and quizzes in real time.

Challenges we ran into

Some of the main challenges we faced were:

  • Extracting clean text from PDFs
  • Managing long prompts efficiently
  • Designing a simple and user-friendly interface
  • Integrating the Gemini API properly within limited time
