Inspiration
Students often struggle to understand difficult concepts, create notes, and prepare for exams efficiently. We wanted to build an AI-powered learning assistant that makes studying faster, simpler, and more personalized.
What it does
StudyMate AI is an intelligent learning companion that helps students:
- Explain complex topics in simple language.
- Generate concise notes from text or documents.
- Create quizzes and flashcards for revision.
- Solve programming questions with step-by-step explanations.
- Answer academic questions through an AI chatbot.
- Generate personalized study plans.
How we built it
We built the frontend using React.js and the backend using Python (FastAPI). We integrated OpenAI models to power the AI tutor, note generation, quiz creation, and coding assistant. The application is designed with a clean interface so students can easily interact with the AI.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenges were designing accurate prompts, handling different types of user questions, and ensuring the AI responses were clear, reliable, and easy for students to understand.
