Is studying boring, lonely, and demotivating? StudyMania! has you covered!

Inspiration

The inspiration for StudyMania! not only came from the theme, but also came from some of my own personal challenges that i've faced. Whenever I study, I always find it pretty lonely and boring. I'm sure some of you can relate this these feelings, especially the "studying=boring" part. This is why I wanted to bring a sort of 'community aspect' to it, where students can go on voice chats, study together, enjoy some friendly competition, and keep each other from procrastinating.

Development

This bot was programmed with blood, sweat, tears, and also NodeJS. To store the data, we used MongoDB.

What we learned

I haven't used Node.js, Discord.js, or MongoDB before, so that was new! I also learned more about databases, APIs, and how to work with them.

What's next for StudyMania?

More features! This includes a server-based leaderboards, as well as weekly-based point counts.
