Inspiration
Inspired by a lack of a platform to study by collaborating for classes, we aimed to create just this to meet the demand of Clemson University students.
What it does
StudyHive allows students to create study guides (through file upload or manual entry) and crowd-source answers for them. The platform also allows students to vote on answers that are the most helpful, allowing students to studying optimally.
How we built it
We worked together to build it by brainstorming an idea that we thought would solve a problem at our university. We next focused on fleshing out the steps we would need to build the platform, and dividing up tasks. Throughout the building process, we focused on communicating what changes or features we were adding/making and how we could make it work together with the work of others.
Challenges we ran into
We struggled with implementing AI into our project due to API errors. We also faced some difficulty integrating all components together, but we were able to work through these challenges with cooperation.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to accomplish the goals we set out to accomplish with the project, and we were able to work together as a team.
What we learned
We learned about full-stack development and the challenges associated with outlining different structures and making them interface with each other.
What's next for StudyHive
We aim to have more Clemson students make use of our service to study efficiently for their future classes, preparing them for success.
