Inspiration

As college students, one of the biggest issues we face in our classes is finding a study group we love and are comfortable in. We created this project to solve this problem.

What it does

Our website provides an interface for students to create and join study groups, as well as invite their friends to join their groups, and chat with other members of the group.

How I built it

We used the Google Calendar API with a node.js / Python backend to build our website.

Challenges I ran into

One of the biggest challenges we faced during the construction of this project was using the Google Calendar API with server-side authentication with a default email address, as opposed to requesting the user for authentication.

What's next for StudyGroupMe

We need to work on and improve the User Interface. Secondly, once we have access to logging in through Harvard Key, we no longer need to scrape for information, and will directly have access to class/student information on login
