As students, we often found ourselves overwhelmed by multiple deadlines, assignments, and exams. Traditional planners and calendar apps didn’t adapt when our schedules changed, leaving us scrambling at the last minute. We wanted to build something smarter — a tool that learns, adjusts, and keeps us on track without adding more stress. That’s how StudyGenie was born.

🛠️ How we built it • Frontend: React + Tailwind CSS for a clean, responsive user interface. • Backend: Node.js + Express to handle task scheduling logic and API routes. • Database: MongoDB to store user tasks, preferences, and progress. • AI Engine: OpenAI API to generate customized study schedules and motivational tips. • Deployment: Vercel for the frontend, Render/Heroku for the backend. • Collaboration: GitHub for version control and project management.
