Inspiration
Education today is overloaded with information, but students struggle to convert that information into meaningful learning. While preparing for exams, we noticed how time-consuming it is to create notes, summarize content, and generate practice questions. This inspired us to build StudyGenie — an AI-powered study assistant that simplifies learning by instantly generating notes, quizzes, and personalized study plans.
What it does
StudyGenie is an intelligent learning platform that helps students: -> Generate concise notes from large content -> Create quizzes automatically for self-assessment -> Provide personalized learning paths -> Save time and improve productivity It transforms raw content into structured, easy-to-learn material.
How we built it
We developed StudyGenie using a modern full-stack architecture: -> Frontend: React.js (for interactive UI) -> Backend: Node.js + Express.js -> Database: MySQL (for storing user data & progress) -> AI Integration: NLP models for text summarization & quiz generation
Working Flow:
- User inputs study material
- AI processes the text
- Generates: -> Notes -> Questions -> Learning plan
Challenges we ran into
-> Generating accurate and meaningful summaries -> Creating relevant quiz questions automatically -> Managing large input data efficiently -> Ensuring fast response time for AI outputs
