Inspiration
As a Class 10 student in India, I struggle to revise quickly before exams. I wanted a friend who can quiz me, clear doubts, and remind me to study, without typing. That's why I imagined StudyBuddy on Alexa+.
What it does
StudyBuddy is an Alexa+ skill for students. You can say "Alexa, revise Science chapter 2" or "Explain Pythagoras simply" or "Remind me to study Maths at 7pm". It uses natural conversation to feel like a real tutor.
How we built it
Designed intents using Amazon Alexa Skills Kit, backend logic with AWS Lambda (Python), and used Alexa+ new conversational AI features for follow-up questions.
Challenges we ran into
Limited time (7 hours to deadline) and being a first-time Alexa developer. Learning ASK and Lambda was new for me.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Built my first ever Alexa+ project concept as a Class 10 student and submitted to a global hackathon with 64k participants.
