Inspiration

As students, we often struggle to keep track of multiple assignments, deadlines, and study sessions. Many rely on scattered notes, reminders, or last-minute cramming, leading to stress and inefficiency. StudyBuddy AI was born out of the need for a simple, intelligent, and automated way to organize homework and study schedules effortlessly.

What it does

StudyBuddy AI is a smart homework organizer that helps students: ✅ Add assignments with due dates and difficulty levels. ✅ Auto-generate a study plan using AI-based scheduling. ✅ Sync tasks with Google Calendar for better time management. ✅ Customize study preferences and toggle dark mode for late-night studying.

How we built it

Frontend: React.js + TailwindCSS for a clean, responsive UI. Backend: Supabase with a PostgreSQL database. Authentication: Secure login with JWT authentication. Google Calendar API: Syncs study plans with students' calendars. AI Scheduling Algorithm: Prioritizes assignments based on deadlines and workload.

What we learned

We learned the importance of user feedback, efficient database design, and API integration in building a scalable web app. This project reinforced our skills in full-stack development, AI scheduling, and UX optimization.
