Study Buddy is a revolutionary study tool designed to help students achieve academic success. With its innovative approach to assignment prioritization, it provides students with a customized, easy-to-use platform that organizes their daily studies based on the assignment difficulty, the number of assignments for each class, and their past grades for each assignment. There is a simple sign up and log in process for each user. The home page (user not logged in) includes the description for the website and also includes details on the functionality of each tab within the website. The sign-up button redirects the user to a sign up page with asks the user for their name, email, password, and password confirmation. Once the user has signed up, they can login with their email address and password. There are three main tabs and a nav bar displayed. The three main tabs are the list of past grades on assignments, today’s priorities, and ai generated study tips. Your grades are a chronological arrangement of past grades entered by the user with the add grade button. For the today’s priorities tab, the user enters assignments to do with the add a task button. Each assignment is prioritized with the help of AI (GPT-3). Each assignment entered by the user is given a rating of 1-5, for each of the factors taken into consideration when prioritizing assignments, and the assignment with the highest rating is prioritized first (Right now we only take time into consideration. Due to the time restriction in the hackathon, we couldn’t implement all factors into consideration). Not only does Study Buddy help you stay organized, but it also provides you with valuable study tips and strategies to improve your performance. These study tips are also ai generated and they are customized to each individual assignment that is in the priorities list. There are also icons for each assignment based on the type of subject, for example: History is a globe, English is a pencil, etc. There is also a choose file and upload file option which allows you to choose a file from your pc and upload it (currently the upload file option is not functional but is going to be implemented in the foreseeable future). With AI assistance, Study Buddy predicts the grade you are likely to receive on each assignment, allowing you to adjust your study habits and maximize your chances of success.
