Inspiration

It is hard to communicate with other classmates during lectures and form connections to create study groups.

What it does

This program gives the opportunity to create study groups immediately and rank them based on compatibility after answering a few questions.

How we built it

We built it using Anaconda and Python. We developed a match maker algorithm using vectorization and natural language processing.

Challenges we ran into

We did not know Anaconda, Python, machine learning, or AI. It was also our first hackathon and we were not familiar with how things work.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we created a program that works efficiently and uses some AI concepts given our lack of knowledge on the subject. We are also proud of completing our first hackathon.

What we learned

We learned Anaconda, Python, machine learning, and AI. We also learned the basics of vectorization, natural language processing, and how to implement APIs.

What's next for StudyBud Hub

We would love to develop it further by implementing a web-based interface.
