Inspiration

Lack of motivation for writing notes for a myriad of subjects + Need for structure in our study plans

What it does

It converts files into a study plan, breaking down the content of the file into sizeable chunks and providing practice study problems to the user.

How we built it

We used Node.JS and React.JS for the front end and we used Flask, Python, and OpenAI API for the backend

Challenges we ran into

We ran into issues with the OpenAI API and integrating that into our code base

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of the low processing time for processing files and our use of LLM to create a useful study plan and practice questions

What we learned

We learned about the challenges of connecting the front-end and back-end of our program We learned about the implementation of OpenAI API to suit our application

What's next for StudyBud

Improving UI and formatting the output. Having support for video files and images
