What it does

How we built it## Inspiration

Students often struggle to organize their daily study tasks and track their progress consistently. I wanted to build a simple tool that helps students stay organized and focused on their academic goals.

What it does

Study Buddy Alexa Plus is a study task management web application. Users can add study tasks, mark them as completed, and manage their daily workload through a simple dashboard. The application saves task data so that tasks remain available after refreshing the page.

How we built it

The frontend was built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The backend uses Node.js and Express.js to handle application requests and task management. Task data is stored in a JSON file. GitHub was used for version control, and Render was used to deploy the application online.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges was connecting the frontend to the backend and ensuring that task changes were saved correctly. We tested adding, completing, and deleting tasks, including checking whether changes remained after refreshing the page.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully deployed a working web application that can be accessed through a public link on both desktop and mobile devices. We are also proud of implementing task management and persistent task saving.

What we learned

We gained practical experience with JavaScript, Node.js, Express.js, REST API concepts, Git, GitHub, deployment, and debugging frontend-backend integration issues.

What's next for Study Buddy Alexa Plus

We plan to improve the application by adding study reminders, study-session tracking, progress analytics, and personalized study suggestions to help students build better study habits.
