What Inspired Us

It all began with a feeling we knew too well—overwhelm.

Stacks of textbooks. Pages of unread notes. Endless content but no clarity. We saw classmates fall behind not because they lacked intelligence, but because modern education doesn’t adapt to every student’s pace or learning style.

We asked ourselves:

What if learning could feel less like a burden and more like a breakthrough?

That thought sparked a mission—to build a smarter, personalized, AI-powered way to learn. That’s how StudySpark was born.

StudySpark is an AI learning companion for students. It turns textbooks and notes into smart, interactive experiences—summarized, quizzed, and voiced.

Key Features: • 📚 Upload Notes or Books – Instantly analyze and summarize PDFs, docs, or images. • ✨ AI Summarization – Clean, concise breakdowns with key points, flashcards, and memory hooks. • 🎤 Voice-Based Quizzes – Using ElevenLabs, StudySpark becomes your voice tutor—asking and evaluating you aloud. • 🔍 Topic Search – Type or speak a topic, and StudySpark will teach you in plain, visual language. • 📈 Smart Progress Tracking – Know what you’ve mastered and what needs more time. • 💡 Personal Learning Paths – The more you use it, the more it adapts to you. • 🧬 Custom Voice Cloning – Train StudySpark to speak in your own voice. Parents can now be part of their child’s learning journey—even when they’re away. Imagine your child learning math or science, and the app gently coaching them in your familiar, comforting voice.

How We Built It

We built StudySpark entirely on Bolt with tools provided by hackathon sponsors. The tech stack includes: • 🎨 UI/UX Design: Designed a futuristic, glassy, and intuitive UI using Bolt’s no-code builder. We used glassmorphism, neon accents, and smooth animations to give a clean and motivational vibe. • 🧠 AI Brains: • GPT-4 for summarization and quiz generation. • ElevenLabs Creator Tier for lifelike voice quizzes, with pro voice cloning to train your own voice model. • 📁 Storage: IPFS via Nodely.io for decentralized, secure file storage. • 🤑 Monetization: RevenueCat SDK allows freemium access with Pro AI features and premium voice learning. • 🌎 Localization: Integrated LingoDev for multilingual access in 85+ languages. • 🔍 Monitoring: Used Sentry for real-time error and performance tracking. • 🚀 Hosting & Domain: Netlify deployment with a free domain from Entri.

Challenges We Faced • Converting messy textbook data into structured summaries was harder than expected. We had to write custom prompt structures for GPT to consistently deliver quality results. • Voice timing and quiz syncing with ElevenLabs required trial and error for smooth delivery. • Designing a futuristic UI without slowing down the app experience was a design challenge. • Balancing simplicity and depth—making sure students don’t get overwhelmed but still get value.
