Study Space Finder

Inspiration

We wish we had a way to see which buildings and libraries have empty space before actually going to each building and walking around to check.

What it does

When you open our website, you can choose your preferences in terms of walking distance, how many seats you want, etc. and then you can find out what libraries have free spaces for you and your friends.

How we built it

We used many different APIs to get data from wifi routers and see how many people are in each building.

Challenges we ran into

We had issues connecting to maps to find how far away each building was, and we are still working on this aspect.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we were able to create this in the time we had, and with the resources we have.

What we learned

We learned a lot about how to get data from a wifi router

What's next for Study Space Finder

We want to improve the workability of our website, it currently doesn't include all of the buildings on campus, so we hope to add more.
