Project Story: Study Savvy – Study Smarter, Not Harder

Inspiration

The inspiration for Study Savvy stemmed from the observation that many learners struggle to organize their study materials efficiently. In a world overwhelmed by information, we wanted to create a tool that empowers users to learn more effectively by providing personalized study plans tailored to their specific needs.

What it does

Study Savvy is an AI-powered study assistant that:

  • Analyzes user-provided content or topics.
  • Generates customized study plans based on individual learning goals.
  • Offers daily study schedules with specific focus areas and techniques, making learning more efficient and structured.

How we built it

We built Study Savvy using:

  • GPT-4O API for natural language processing and content analysis.
  • Streamlit for creating a user-friendly interface that simplifies the user experience.
  • Python for backend logic, handling user inputs, and processing data.

The process includes:

  1. User Input: Users can upload documents or enter topics, set timelines, and specify study hours.
  2. AI Processing: The assistant analyzes the content and creates a personalized study schedule.
  3. Output: Users receive a structured plan to guide their study sessions.

Challenges we ran into

We faced several challenges, including:

  • Ensuring the AI-generated plans are genuinely personalized and cater to varying user preferences.
  • Balancing processing speed and accuracy during content analysis.
