Inspiration
All four of us are hardworking high school student, swamped with the combination of hours of studying and maintaining our extracurriculars. We decided that to ease the burden of time management, we'd design a website not only allowing us to have time for all our plans, but to turn us into academic weapons.
What it does
Study Planner enhances students' ability to study for their tests effectively. With tools such as the timeline, interactive mind map, and progress tool to track productivity, students are guided throughout their journey to achieve A's. We even have an AI tutor designed to aid students with their homework and any questions they have on the website.
How we built it
We built it using many different components such as Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Figma, and Loevable.
Challenges we ran into
While making this website, we ran into numerous challenges of different difficulties. An example would be the book not opening on the login page after signing in, which took us more than an hour of playing with Lovable to figure out. Initially, we also faced difficulties in using Figma since we are beginners, and there were features that we simply couldn't understand with the tools we had. It also took us a really long time to create multiple study plans at the same time, leading us to move to Lovable to make the website have a cleaner look.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
There's a lot that we're proud of in this nifty website of ours. From the timeline, which highlights the areas students should focus on, to the AI tutor, designed to help students with their studying. Every bit of the way presented challenges, which, through dedication and teamwork, we managed to squash and create something better than just minutes previous.
What we learned
Throughout this hackcamp, we learned how to use Figma, Loveable, how to code CSS, Javascript, Python etc. Overall, it taught us how to communicate our ideas more effectively.
What's next for Study Planner
We would like to make it smarter, more gamified, add better colours (maybe greens), include better AI features and understanding, sort out all the bugs, and possibly allow students to add assignments along with tests.
