Inspiration: The core problem is fragmented learning. Students waste time context-switching between notes, planners, and coding sites. We created StudyMate AI to be the single, intelligent hub that unifies academic and skill-based progress. The Build: We leveraged a modern stack:
- Frontend: React + Tailwind for a distraction-free UI.
- Backend: Supabase for secure Auth, DB, and file storage.
- AI Engine: GPT-4 API drives the core function, transforming documents into structured learning assets:
Key Challenges & Lessons: Our focus was tackling API latency/cost optimization for GPT-4 and securely implementing external platform integration (GitHub/LeetCode). We learned that by enforcing strict RLS (Row Level Security) and integrating intelligence, we could deliver genuinely personalized and accelerated learning.
