Inspiration
We wanted to allow students to have the ability to organize files, play music and visualize data without having millions of tabs open.
What it does
It allows you to import word, CSV and pdf documents and view/edit them. It also has a media player for both Spotify and YouTube. It has a simple CSV graph maker and to top it all off, it is heavily customizable.
How we built it
We built this using React and Typescript.
Challenges we ran into
The main challenge was getting Spotify's API to cooperate with us. Agreeing over themes and layout of website.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Able to put out a decent MVP despite the time limit also being motivated enough to not abandon the project since it is something that we can find ourselves using.
What we learned
Using APIs, good ideas don't need to be complex. Simplicity is often better and leads to more thoughtful/creative features.
What's next for Study Hub
Adding a AI study assistant. Expanding upon customization. Adding a way for students to make references/citations within the site. Sticky notes feature. Mobile port.
