Inspiration
Sometimes you just get tired of studying alone and could really use someone to study with.
What it does
Study Buddy takes in where you are/what course you are studying for, it then connects you with people who are also studying your subject at your desired location and permits you to chat with them to coordinate a meetup.
How we built it
Android Studio was used to create the interface and logic behind it. Firebase was used to handle the server and database.
Challenges we ran into
Learning how to use android studio, xml, and firebase.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Getting our android app connected to firebase.
What we learned
Creating an android app, front end interface work, back end server and database tasks, and hacking at a hackathon.
What's next for Study Buddy
Creating the chat feature, and enabling the chat feature to work with groups to enable study groups.
