Inspiration

I wanted to simplify studying by creating a system that counts up to three frequent non-common words locally in a study text so those could stand out to those studying, as a way to help them.

What it does

It counts up to three different frequent non-common words.

How we built it

To build it, I had the help of GitHub Copilot which also utilized Python with Streamlit, and the system processes the text when live AI is enabled.

Challenges we ran into

The challenges was trying to communicate with GitHub Copilot AI to try to understand what we were doing and to understand how the app was running.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I feel that I was able to work with an AI to create a system that could at least function, because it was something that I didn't think could work properly before.

What we learned

I learned that AI is getting better and understanding complex tasks to the point that a human user could use AI to help them in more ways than expected, even though at this stage, AI still has a long way to learn and understand.

What's next for Study Buddy

For next time, I would try to explain myself more clearly the best I can to AI whenever there is task because there were times where I feel like the AI did not understand me even though I felt I was being clear with it.
