Initial Idea
Build a cute study companion that turns a student's notes into quiz or flashcard-style study prompts. The target users are students who find ordinary notes boring and classroom-like quizzes stressful. An alpaca (and possibly a bunny) should react with happy or dancing motion when the learner answers correctly. The experience should motivate learners to continue rather than feel like a school test.
Demonstrated Technical and Agent Experience
The learner has worked as an AI developer intern, building an AI interview project with a prompt library for seven functions, including generating questions from resumes and job descriptions, evaluating answers, giving feedback, and creating a final report. They used Groq as a provider and OpenAI for AI mode. They have frontend and UX/UI design experience, and have used Python for machine-learning data cleaning. They also have QA internship experience reviewing requirements and maintaining quality.
Evidence: They described understanding AI features while wanting to improve how they implement them in a product that accurately understands what the user wants.
Planning-Workflow Experience
Familiar with plan-first and requirements-driven workflows. The learner scopes by deciding what to build and who the target user is, treats requirements as the project baseline, and uses both functional and non-functional requirements. They have experience keeping development involved in requirements and reviewing requirements as a QA intern.
Desired Learning Outcome
Improve coding through this project, especially implementing AI so it does more than reply like a generic chatbot: it should accurately understand the user's intent and produce the right study experience from their notes.
Learning Moments
Not established yet.
Interests, Inspirations, and Goals
The learner loves many kinds of music, including sad songs, rock, classical, piano, guitar, hip-hop, and music from different countries. They have loved books since childhood and value how reading helps them understand and express emotions. They especially love alpacas and feel the animal has a personality similar to their own.
The learner wants the alpaca to be a personal study companion. Existing note-to-quiz tools can feel like school quizzes and create classroom pressure; this project should make studying feel good, supportive, and motivating to continue.
Vocabulary and Concepts Likely to Need Explanation
No specific unfamiliar concepts established. Explain any new AI implementation choices in relation to intent understanding, structured outputs, and reliable note-to-quiz behavior rather than assuming a generic chatbot is sufficient.
Collaboration and Communication Preferences
The learner is familiar with planning workflows and can handle concise treatment of familiar planning steps. No explicit preference for grouped versus one-at-a-time questions was established.
Areas Where the Learner Wants Ownership
The learner has expressed ownership of the product idea, target user, requirements baseline, and the desired supportive alpaca experience.
Likely Support Needs
Support translating the learner's product intent into reliable AI behavior and improving coding implementation quality. The learner has relevant AI, frontend, UX/UI, Python, and QA experience, so avoid overly basic assumptions while explaining project-specific tradeoffs.
